I’ve known Alisa almost since the conception of my blog – going on 10 years. She’s devoted herself to helping those on a dairy-free diet. She’s also been a lifesaver to those who have multiple food needs. Her blog is an incredible resource. I’ve learned so much from her about making food dairy-free. She’s definitely one of, if not the sole pioneer, of the online dairy-free movement.
Cranberries and chocolate are definitely the stars of Christmas. I love that Alisa combined them to make these Cranberry Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies – a traditional cookie with a twist. While Alisa uses white sugar and brown sugar in these cookies, you can simply substitute my all-time favorite, coconut sugar, for a gluten-free, refined sugar-free cookie. You can also try Chatfield’s Carob Chips, which are gluten-free, nut free and vegan, if you want to completely avoid refined sugar. My boys are cranberry fanatics, so these will definitely be high on their list! Make a double batch and freeze some for post-holiday treats. These are healthy enough to eat year-round.
